Short Term Break Fostering Scheme
Carers Wanted
We believe that everyone deserves a break – a weekend away to recharge the batteries or perhaps a holiday for rest and relaxation.
That’s why Foster Care Services offer all their full time carers 14 days annual leave per year. To enable this we operate a Short Term Break scheme of dedicated foster carers to provide this service.
Foster Care Services are really committed to ensuring that Short Term Breaks are a very positive and productive experience for the children and carers alike. We work as a team, with communication and partnership at the heart of our efforts.
The busy periods for Short Term Breaks are usually around the school holidays.
We provide a financial package commensurate with your availability/bookings. Ongoing training and support is provided.
Our Short Term Break Carers can be:

experienced foster carers who wish to move away from full time fostering but still want to be involved;

people who have worked with children in other settings such as teachers, support or youth workers; or
-
people who are considering fostering as a career change.
